MEET KATHERINE

I’m Katherine Hamblin — a qualified adult and child integrative therapist.

Using psychodynamic, person-centred, and trauma-informed frameworks, I support clients to explore their emotions safely, creatively, and at their own pace.

I’m a qualified adult and children & young people’s integrative therapist, which means I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to tailor support to each individual. My core training is in psychodynamic therapy, which explores how our early experiences shape who we are today, and person-centred therapy, which is grounded in the belief that with the right conditions — empathy, acceptance, and a non-judgemental space — we all have the capacity to heal and grow.

Whether you’re looking to untangle the past, feeling stuck in the present, or unsure how to move forward, integrative therapy allows for a flexible, personalised approach. Because we are all different — even if we’ve experienced similar things — there’s no one-size-fits-all in therapy.

I also enjoy working creatively, where appropriate — using imagery, metaphor, or creative exercises — but only if this feels right for you. Some people find it helpful to express themselves beyond words, while others prefer a more traditional talking therapy approach. Both are equally valid, and we can explore what suits you best.

Qualifications:

  • Level 5 - Certificate in Counselling Children and Young people
  • Level 4 – Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
  • Level 3 – Certificate in Counselling Studies
  • Level 2 – Certificate in Counselling Skills
  • Level 2 – Introduction to Counselling Skills
  • Level 3 – Award in Education and Training
